Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Athlync, Inc. (“Athlync”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It covers the Athlync waitlist and sport interest forms. It does not yet cover the Athlync mobile application, which has not launched.
Information we collect
We collect only what you type into our forms, plus limited context about how you arrived.
- Information you give us. When you join the waitlist we collect your name, email address, and optionally your primary sport interest. Name and email are required; the sport field may be left blank.
- Referral context. If you reach the site through a campaign link, we store the campaign parameters in that link (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content) and the referring web address your browser reports. This tells us which channels bring people to Athlync. It is attached to your signup record. - Sport interest forms. The per-sport interest forms linked from the Sports section are hosted by Google Forms. Anything you submit there is collected by Google on our behalf under Google’s own privacy terms, and is not covered by the practices described elsewhere in this policy.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, precise location, contacts, photos, health or fitness data, or device identifiers through this website. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not run third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
How we use it
- To notify you when Athlync launches and to offer early access.
- To understand demand by sport and region so we can prioritise what to build first.
- To measure which marketing channels are effective.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where your information is stored
Signups are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, operated by Google LLC, as part of the Firebase platform. The site itself is served by Firebase Hosting. Data may be processed on servers located in the United States. Access to the signup database is restricted: the database rules prevent anyone from reading signup records through the website, and only authorised Athlync personnel can access them administratively.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist signups until Athlync launches and you have had a reasonable opportunity to create an account, or until you ask us to delete your record — whichever comes first. If Athlync does not launch, we will delete the waitlist.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your information at any time by emailing support@athlync.com. We will respond within 30 days. There is no need to justify the request, and asking costs you nothing.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — for example under the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to object to processing and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing is your consent, given when you submit the form; you may withdraw it at any time using the address above.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Firestore with access rules that deny public reads. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
